Some people rate Batman Forever and Batman and Robin poorly although I do not quite agree with such low ratings. Meanwhile, the caped crusader is joined in his fight by new sidekick Robin (Chris O'Donnell), whose trapeze-artist family have recently been slain by Two-Face. I especially appreciated the fact that it doesn't have any preview trailers that you have to skip through; the movies begin without having to select play. Throughout the series, Batman is aided and abetted by his trusty old butler Albert, enthusiastic sidekick Robin, and Alfred's spirited niece (who assumes the identity of Batgirl), as well as his allies down at the police department. Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology, also referred to as simply the Batman Anthology, is the original four-film series of Warner Bros.

The Burtonesque Gotham along with the darkness in the Batmans character seem nothing but a distant memory in this film. Obviously Mr Schwarznegger had long past the "Evils" of 1st Terminator film and the film company felt they can't make everyones favourite action movie hero ruthlessly evil.I won't claim that all 4 films are classics seems to me that the level of Tim Burton involvment over the 4 movies is uncannily mirrored in the quality of the movies. This outing sees Val Kilmer take on the lead role of Batman and the arrival during the film of Chris o'donnel as Robin.

The version of the box-set now being supplied has the discs housed in a single Blu-ray case with the basic artwork shown. BATMAN FOREVER - Riddle me this: The Dark Knight (Val Kilmer) bat-battles Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and the Riddler (Jim Carrey). I may even go so far as to say that he may be better than Michael Keaton although Michael Keaton was awesome as Batman. The picture and sound quality of all four films is superb and a vast improvement on their DVD counterparts. It is true that Batman and Robin is probably the weakest movie in the set however, I think it is still entertaining and I appreciate the old-school special effects.Meanwhile, the caped crusader has been joined by Robin (Chris O'Donnell), whose trapeze-artist family have recently been slain by Two-Face. The Batman Motion Picture Anthology Blu-ray box-set is fantastic value for money and absolute must-have for all fans of the caped crusader. Pamela Isley falls victim to mutated plant DNA when things go awry in a jungle laboratory funded by Wayne Industries. BATMAN FOREVER: Gotham City is once again under siege, this time by the mind-controlling Riddler and the diabolical Harvey Two-Face.

Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology, also known as the Batman Anthology, is the name of the tetralogy of Batman films set in the Burtonverse that were produced by Warner Bros. Batman Forever has two classic super-vilains The Riddler (Jim Carrey) and two-face Harvery (Tommy Lee Jones) plus Uma Thurman as earth-woman. The Caped Crusader cleans up with the help of his new side-kick Robin in this effects-laden thrill ride.

Reporter Alexander Knox (Robert Wuhl) teams with photographer Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) in an attempt to discover Batman's true identity - an investigation which leads them to the door of mysterious millioniare Bruce Wayne (Michael Keaton). He begins a warped campaign to become mayor of Gotham, helped by millionaire businessman Max Shreck (Christopher Walken) and undertakes a mission to murder every firstborn son in the city - a plan which will avenge his own beginnings. The film was a huge success; not only was it the top-grossing film of the year, but at the time was the fifth highest-grossing film in history.
