The ingredients Tom uses and even substitute ingredients that replace all the bad stuff we normally consume, are all readily available at most supermarkets which makes getting the stuff you need really easy. It's been on my cookery book stand permanently since then in the kitchen and we cook from it most days of the week.

I am a big lad, and do struggle with weight issues, saw the program on the telly and thought bang on, tasty looking dinners and no too hard to make, ok so it is the telly and obviously edits and whatever will make it seem easier than what it is but why no give it a go if it doesn’t work then back to a chippy tea, had the book for about three weeks and have made about 12/13 recipes.It's impossible to stick to a diet if the food you're expected to eat is boring and doesn't fill you up. And at times just seem to be lower portion size versions of familiar dishes with one or two high calorie ingredients swapped out.

A lovely jolly down to earth approach from a man i knew little about, but who is a wonderful advert for his recipes and book. I like Tom and his usually unpretentious recipes, we watched the accompanying TV programme and bought the book, as, for health reasons, I need some food with flavour, as chemotherapy has numbed mine, but agave and yuzo! Now Tom is turning his attention to helping food-lovers who have chosen a low-calorie diet as their own route to weight-loss.

Each recipe has an approx calorie count and there is a list of calories per common food item, helpful if you want to substitute when the recipe includes things you don't care for. This is a lower-calorie diet with a difference – it's based on hunger-satisfying portions of delicious, lower-calorie dishes that taste amazing. Similar to Ton's story from the book I turned 40 recently and wasn't too happy with the way I looked and I have been trying for the last couple of months to get down to my ideal body weight which means losing 2-3 stone.

Tom also uses some very creative ways of incorporating flavour to the dishes without the calories which is an incredible achievement to me, as Tom has managed to make Healthy Food Interesting, Enjoyable and keeps you feeling full through the day. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.With a full vegetarian section, and even low calorie, but not restricted desserts, this is a life saviour for sure.

However I did find the vast majority of them in my local supermarket in areas on aisles I've never really visited before. It's hard to find low calorie diet books that cater to vegetarian diets as well, and then this book came along. As Tom 'It's impossible to stick to a diet if the food you're expected to eat is boring and doesn't fill you up. I am currently trying to loose weight, and in few weeks in the journey I eventually grew bored of my own recipes.Loved the tv series not just because l could do with losing a few pounds but Tom is my favourite tv chef. The focus is on the food that we can and should be eating to lose weight, which is easy to make and won't make you feel as though you are missing out .
