Upon release, Sound of Silver received acclaim from music critics, and it was later nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards. In 2019, The Guardian ranked the album at number 5 on its list of 'The 100 best albums of the 21st century'. Honestly, I wanted a replay of the double album debut, which I am still discovering tracks I like on now, and when I first listened to Sound of Silver I was a bit disappointed.
