The game has a wide range of different achievements to work towards, some of them are as simple as just getting a three-star rating in a workout, whereas others may take a little effort more time to obtain by throwing a lot of punches, performing a certain amount of exercises with each of the instructors, and more.

There’s a variety of modes and punches you can throw to work up a sweat and actually get a pretty effective workout in. The music is awful - but the Game gets the job done - I've lost a stone in weight in Lockdown using it.Fitness Boxing received "mixed or average" reviews from critics according to Metacritic with a score of 66 out of 100, based on reviews from 14 critics.

Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm and Exercise, it’s intense, you’ll sweat, but it’s a heck of a lot of fun with a lot of variety in the actions you can perform. When you do the Daily Workout, your instructor chooses a series of routines and songs based on your chosen fitness goals and how long you’d like to exercise. While Ring Fit focuses on working out my muscles, Fitness Boxing does a much better job at getting my heart rate up while consistently burning calories.

In the first game, instructor outfits were unlocked when you hit certain milestones, but some of these were frankly ridiculous: throwing a total of 198,000 punches to unlock a new top felt ever so slightly disproportionate. Here, you can create your own playlists from the workouts you’ve already unlocked; more can be unlocked by receiving two-star ratings on other workouts. To be able to purchase content for Wii U or Nintendo 3DS family systems, your funds usable through the Nintendo Account must be merged with the funds tied to your Nintendo Network ID.

I found the uppercut combo regiment to be particularly brutal: a near 15-minute non-stop workout switching between jabs, straights, uppercuts at a breakneck pace. Wii Fit always bothered me with long menus, slow introductions to the exercises and needing to spend a lot of time waiting before jumping into the yoga poses or other activities. This means simply doing the motion isn’t enough, you’ve got to properly ‘punch’ it at the end to make it register. This gets repetitive very quickly and while in the moment it helps you to change your form, if you are playing the game right, there’s still the same reminder ever so often. In late-September 2018, Imagineer revealed the release date of Fitness Boxing for Japan [4] and in early-October 2018, Nintendo revealed the release date of Fitness Boxing for North America and Europe as well as screenshots of game play. In late-October 2018, Imagineer revealed the track listing for Fitness Boxing and uploaded the first game play video of Fitness Boxing to their YouTube Channel. To make matters easier every single song and workout is set to the same tempo, so there is never a situation where you’ll need to speed up or slow down your movements. This allows you to set an alarm on each day of the week, causing your connected controllers to violently vibrate at a designated time. Though their personalities may be different, most of what they say during workouts is essentially the same (or use words to that effect), so you won’t be missing out if you stick to only one; you’ll be forever mine Evan!

As for the music, the nice thing about switch is I can prop it up next to my tv and get my exercise while I watch.
