A great way to understand the power of mind management is by envisioning mental mess as a car crash. I haven’t finished reading it yet but based on what I have read so far, and based on Caroline’s previous work, I whole heartedly recommend everyone to get this book. So, even though you are the one who has to sit with the thoughts that make you feel so much pain or frustration that you will do anything to avoid them, that you are the one who has to deal with those “would have, should have, could have, if only” thoughts that affect your wellbeing, that you are the one who has to hear the endless round of shame and hatred in your head that makes you think less of yourself, and that you are the one being crippled by all those intrusive thoughts, you also have the power to change ALL of this. It is easy to read, has scientific knowledge in it, of course, but it is not bogged down with concepts that are out of an ordinary reader’s grasp.

This book gives you paradigm-shifting insight on the brain, how it works, and how you can become an empowered participant in creating new neural pathways. While her newest publication from Baker Books has a bit of a contentious title (it is not something I can easily give as a gift without offending the recipient! I am a fan of anything that promotes positivity and this defnitely has some good points and viable tactics, but nothing particularly original and so much of the book felt like a commercial for the author's app and other books. The techniques taught in Caroline’s work have allowed me to work on myself in new ways that allow me to be more calm, clear and compassionate.
