This storyline was originally published in the comic book series Detective Comics from January to October, 2011.

Sonia Branch meets up with Dick and tells him that she has gotten account requests from Gotham City's criminals who wants her to help them invest their money. Batman is one of the greatest of superhero characters because unlike others he was one of the first heroes to be a true super human. Commissioner Gordon uses the Wayne crime labs again when a dead killer whale is found in the middle of a large Gotham bank run by Tony Zucco's daughter Sonia Zucco. Once again involving some of the wider Bat family, this time it's Grayson's Batman and the Gordons who have to face the ultimate depravity of a human gone wrong in the pervasive darkness and corruption of Gotham.Though intimately familiar with Gotham's horrific landscapes and feels personally obliged to protects its people, Dick never felt that he belonged in this city of nightmares and most of his character conflict stems from the fact that he's a bird constantly trying to be imprisoned in a cage by forces which he could not always comprehend but nonetheless fights back with much vigor and resilience.

This is all a very long, complicated way of saying The Black Mirror reads like a well-made graphic novel that was meant to be read like a graphic novel.Dick as Batman is stripped down to the essentials, much like Batman was pre-Robin way back in the day. Sonia Branch declined, which angered the new criminals (Tiger Shark) to the point where they killed her worker. Batman infiltrates the Mirror House with Oracle's help, a moving location the Dealer uses to hold his macabre auctions. Jock and Francesco Francavilla’s artwork: Both Jock and Francesco Francavilla’s artwork greatly contributed to the dark atmosphere of this story.

He's captured and held above the killer whale tank, eventually managing to break free but not before Tiger Shark escapes. His current works include Batman , Batman: Eternal Superman Unchained , American Vampire and Swamp Thing .Overall, “Batman: The Black Mirror” is easily one of the best current “Batman” stories around and anyone who is a huge fan of Dick Grayson will definitely love this comic! Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that all these things didn't put me off in the slightest because there was always enough information to keep newbies like me filled in just enough. Now I don't know if this was ever done before, but in Black Mirror Jim Gordon JR is a serial killer and a creepy bastard at that. He is also the author of the short story collection, Voodoo Heart, published by the Dial Press in 2006.
