If you catch whiffs in the air, they are a dead-ringer for Ombre Leather at a quick sniff of the untrained nose. The book was in the condition described and the seller had taken time to package it well in cardboard and a jiffy bag so it was very well protected. If you're a fan like me and enjoy Ombre leather, Tuscan leather, Godolphin, you'll probably like this as well. Rare carbon is great and all for a while, but I noticed I became bored of it quickly, there’s something missing in this bottle, its a bit generic and slightly soapy with a bit of a hair spray quality to it (only very slight) the OG TF performs better in that it develops more as it dries, its more distinctive and has more depth.

Now, I don’t own TL, however, I do have a sample of Godolphin and I have a 30ml bottle of Lattafa’s Velvet Oud. This is my first leather frag since I was a kid, back when my dad would give me whatever scraps he had left from his collection.I find this just behind OL for the most wearable of the leather specific scents I've tried (OL, TL, AdP, RC). Very strong and it is perfect for winter, as we have now winter in this part of the world, i can wear this during the day or night, they have nice projection and silage, longevity is ok 8h+ and smells really like royals would smell with those expensive perfumes. This review is for both Rare Carbon and Sterling Just Jack Ombre Suede, both of which are clones of TF Ombre Leather. Ombre Leather used to be my signature scent for around a year and half (before I truly got into fragrances). If I smelled this blind, I would know instantly that it's not OL or TL, but I would also say it reminds me of them.

They may also limit the number of times you see an advert as well as help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaigns.I think that the underlying Leather note they use for Rare Carbon has a strong similarity, and I feel like the nature of the other notes (fruit and herb) here link this more to Tuscan Leather by my estimation. r/fragrance is an inclusive, adult community for discussing finished retail perfumes and other scented personal and home-care products. This is not even close to TFOL i have TF original and i have tested TFOL Parfum , this is typical oriental perfume that has its own and unique scent.

The way people wax lyrical about the abrasiveness of Ombre Leather, I thought this would be offensive on first application but it's a very smooth blend. This scent opens with a GORGEOUS raspberry note and Oud creeps up right behind it to create a prickly, juicy burst upon opening. Very bad experience with this one, can't really smell the leather on my skin, and after an hour I can't even smell the fragrance (only on strip), maybe I've gone nose blind idk. I feel that Rare Carbon does sit between TL and OL EDP, actually leaning a bit more toward TL at times, esp during drydown, and OL early and mid. To me Tom Ford Ombre Leather is clone of Shumoukh Al Ghutra , because TFOL came after the Shumoukh Al Ghutra, TFOL last less than 4h while Shumoukh last for numbers of days.

It has that amazing leather note that is in Ombre Leather along with some nice fruity sweetness that OL is missing. Rare Carbon stays like this for the rest of its half-life, with everything except the leather slowly taking a back seat as you reach hour 3. Just Jack fragrances don't have Fragrantica listings so I thought I'd give a review of Ombre Suede here. Haven't faced that problem in night times, and since I bought it like 2 months ago, I'm still waiting for my first winter with this thing.

I was sadly disappointed when I received this as although you can tell it's meant to smell like Ombre Leather, it just doesn't have the same smoothness nor the gentle blend between the leather and sweetness of the TF. It’s opens up with sweet very wonderful floral opening, the leather is mild here feels like it’s in the background. Reading and watching reviews of this one, however, it seems as if they're very similar to each other. That said, I'm not the world's biggest fan of the true Raspberry-forward Tuscan Leather DNA as I find it too bitter, harsh and aggressive - an over assertive statement fragrance, if you will. the original isn't bad, in fact it's still one of my favorite scents, but I reach for this 9 times out of 10 over Ombre leather because. My biggest disappointment was how the oud takes this in a slightly screechier direction than Ombre Leather, and I know for a fact that I will be saving up for a full bottle of that too because I LOVE this type of leather scent and I feel like Afnan Rare Carbon can sit proudly on your shelf and hold it's own alongside other leather masterpieces. While this is the samme league of perfume (leather+floral) , it is absolutely not even closebto smelling like ombre leather. If you looking for alternative of TF OL this most probably will be good option , but don’t expect clone of OL or same smell .
